School Management Teams Q & A
So what's involved in being the School President?
Well, it's their job to oversee all my3P activity at a school. This might involve marketing the my3P community by word of mouth campaigns, putting up posters, organising a lunchtime or after school meeting, working with a teachers representative to review progress and generate new ideas. Also supporting and teaching other students so that they can both earn points and make real money if they are running a business, and even developing and executing other 3P goals in your community.
Does the President have to do all that on their own?
No. Once student numbers reach around 25-30 active members the President may want to start thinking about appointing a Vice President (Marketing) (responsible for user registrations, local marketing, initiating discussion with potential local partners), and a Vice President (Support) (responsible for overall training and helping the my3P users to get the most from the website and systems). Oh, and don't forget the whole team here at my3P are always here to help out with any resources, advice or information you might need.
Will the Management Team get paid?
Of course! And like most senior management roles the payment structure is based on performance criteria, so the more successful the team, the more they benefit themselves and their school.
The team (which will probably be just the President initially), earn a percentage of all the points earned by students at their school. The percentage increases as more students come onboard:
- 1-50 students (3%)
- 51-200 students (5%)
- 201+ students (10%)
So for example, if you have 250 students at your school who have joined my3P and they earn 1000 points average each month, that’s 250,000 points. Your management team would earn 10% which is 25,000 points.
How will the Management Team’s points be divided?
We usually suggest that the President receives 40% of the points, and the VPs 30% each. Of course if for any reason one member of the team has not contributed during that particular pay period the President should notify us to discuss a possible redistribution of points.
