"People call me an optimist, but I'm really an appreciator....When I was six years old and had scarlet fever, the first of the miracle drugs, sulfanilamide, saved my life. I'm grateful for computers and photocopiers...I appreciate where we've come from."
CLOSED: How can we best use 20 HP Photo Printers to grow the community?
THIS TOPIC IS NOW CLOSED. Thanks for all your ideas.
HP would like to see our community grow so that they can start to help us more. To help us grow, they have given us 20 HP Photosmart 375 photo printers. Tell us how you think we can use them to grow the community and if your idea is chosen - you get to keep one of the printers for yourself. Plus of course you get all the points for having a winner idea.

Details: We could make flyers that will aware people about global warming, conserving and keeping the water in rivers, lakes, oceans, .etc clean, recycling, and saving the rainforests. We can post them around schools, in places of worship, stores, and anywhere else that people could read them. We could also start petitions to help the environment, as well. We could make all of the flyers and petitions with HP Printers, and have pictures of animals or enviornment pictures on the flyers, not like clip art, but real pictures. When we are done with the campaign, we can sell/auction the printers, and donate even more money to the enviornment causes! We also should try to get people to know about hybrid cars, because they use less gas, which means less pollution, by posting posters/flyers infoming people about this new kind of car. I know I may sound like an environmental activist, but I just get sick of people taking the Earth's resources and environments for granted, like they'll always be good, no matter what people do to it. We're not trying to sell people hybrid cars, we're just trying to notify them about how good they are for the environment, and our pockets so we don't have to pay much for gas. I know that if you do buy one, it is a huge investment. The money that you pay to buy a hybrid car with will return to you by how much money you save not buying much gas. So, eventually it's a win-win situation! We could also use recycled paper to make the flyers, and in the bottom corner of all of the flyers we should put "Made With Recycled Paper".
I'm voting yes because I like the general idea but I think you need to narrow the focus a little... it seems like you're trying to acheive too much with 20 printers ;-)
I wouldnt think that puting up flyers every where a good idea,as sticking flyers usually results in the dirtying of a place and flyers are never viewed as a good way to send out a positive message,as most people would ignore flyers and if handed to them throw them directly into a dust bin.
Also using normal paper would be wrong as paper is made out of wood, a resource we are trying to save.
This could turn out to be a costly endeavour in time and resources, i don't know if flyers would be adequate in awaring our community of these issues, also when this campaign is done, what will you do with the printers. I't's a good idea but i think it needs to be developed a little bit more.
