CLOSED: How can we best use 20 HP Photo Printers to grow the community? THIS TOPIC IS NOW CLOSED. Thanks for all your ideas.
HP would like to see our community grow so that they can start to help us more. To help us grow, they have given us 20 HP Photosmart 375 photo printers. Tell us how you think we can use them to grow the community and if your idea is chosen - you get to keep one of the printers for yourself. Plus of course you get all the points for having a winner idea.

Details: MY3P have been given 20 high quality printers with a total value of $3600. These printers are a business opportunity waiting to be taken advantage of. Since the are now an increase in the popularity of digital camera, MY3P could create a photo center available to the community where the printers are a basic DIY job. Customers will be able to print there photos using the printers as it does not require a computer to connect the camera to the printer. This will result in the community to be educated about the rise of the modern technology and MY3P will be able to generate profits in which it can be use to expand the photo centre or fund another business opportunity. Given that MY3P has already got 20 printers, the set up cost of the photo centre will be very small and the business will run very efficiently.
Details: Well. First bit, my3p would keep 10 [half] of the printers, for their own use of promoting the site, etc.
10 of the printers would be given to schools that need them, but schools that would help their community.
This COULD be decided by a competition, in which the schools could set up a project in their community, the most successful could win the printers which they may use for more future projects, that would help their communities more.
I hope that's clarified..
Details: It may be this small amount of capital that will help a business if a business does well it will contribute to the economy doing well. Therfore if there is a strong New -Zealand dollar it gives us as a community more buying power.
Details: The printers could be given to community centres.
Often people less forturnate attend such places therefore this would indicate they do not have these technologies at their disposal at home thus growing the community, by saying these printers were donated by HP in conjuction with my3p it would raise the profile of those concerned..
Details: Using them as rewards, if we wanted to aquire a printer for a reward. We would surrender for x amount of points. The x amount of points is then donated to a community project, centre, e.t.c.
