My3P Writing Projects
My3P should get people to do a writing project that can be posted on this website and into a newspaper article or poster on shop doors that explains the UN goals and how people can achieve them. This project can be worth 10000 pts for the article selected and 10 pts for anyone who tries. This will help people who read the article understand what they need to do. |

Do deeds to help United Nations cause, promote My3p and earn points.
To help the United Nations acheive their 8 millienium development goals all My3P members should do something similar to World Vision's 40 Hour Famine (hopefully this will gain the attention of the national media and popularity) , but the act will not be starving yourself for 40hours but a good deed that you can do. Maybe mowing your neighbours lawns, washing somebody's car for them. You can get as many sponsers as you can. The money they donate will go fund the United Nations Goals. My3P could reward its members who do this with some points as well. So everybody is a winner. United Nations gets its cash, My3P is promoted to the national maybe even international scale and is gives a great image to the society, your neighbour gets their carwashed, and you get rewarded with points. |

KELLOGS Cereals Teams Up With My3p and the United Nations.
Have Kellogs Cereals promote and introduce My3P to a wider audience of people by having a new advertising campaign aimed at helping the United Nations acheive their goal, with some catchy title such as "Cereal 4 Life" or "Cereal for 8 Millienium Development goals' the second name seems a little long winded. But for every box of cereal sold, Kellogs will donate a part of it towards the United Nations. There is another catch too, inside every specially marked Kellogs cereal box there is a code inside and the web site www.my3p.com. this special my3p code will give you points when you enter it on the site. It will attract additional members to our site and give exsiting members more points. Cereals would be seen every morning. this will deffinatley be seen and read. The United Nations Will also greatly benefit from the additional doantions, And Kellogs will have a new exciting way to sell and promote their cereal, of course at the same time new members will hopefully join my3p. |

raising awareness of the problems in third world countries:
my3p could send out an email to its memebers about problems in third world countires and then the members could receieve points for forwarding it on to other people. therefore we are not only raising awareness in other people but hoping that it will leave an effect on them to want to do something about it. |

Sponsor a child, Re-Sub
To help combat famine, my3p could organise a 'sponsor a child' option. When you are asked what charity you are sponsoring you could selct 'sponsor a child' or when you are selecting charities you could also choose to sponsor a child facing famine as well, just by using your points. So my3p could get a few children and set up a points fund where all the people who choose to sponsor a child in need will have some of their points given to that specific fund, and as you know , points are $$$, so the children will be being funded for our effots on here. Aswell as helping yourself, you are helping somone more less fortinate at the same time, so it will be a community thing. Community helping community. This is a Resubmitted idea. |

sponsoring
newzealand or my3p should pay for a few children from the money we could get by fundraising or from my3p sponsors, they could get little kids from 3rd world countries and other kids that live with the risk of starvation and then take them to a boarding school(only if they agreed ofcourse) and then that boarding school would feed them, give them hospitaility and also make them learn in a classroom environment. |

solo project so you earn POINTS!
my idea is to make a solo project on the UN. someone could opt into doing it and they would have to make a poster that outlines the UN's goals and put it up on both a page on my3p and somewhere that will be seen (school / work / gym / anywhere really). Anyone can do it, up to 3 times (spaced out).. |

Have a page on the site dedicated to showing pictures and presenting articles on the Third World
This would help us all to see the devastating effects that poverty, hunger & disease are having on those less fortunate than ourselves. Pictures as many say "tell a thousand words" & will create more of an impact whilst the articles would give us more information & thus increase our awareness of what is going on elsewhere in the world. Once we are aware & informed, then we will be able to make a bigger difference. Hence my3P should start by informing people, starting with the users of the site. |

Long-term solutions
These problems won't go away with a quick-fix solution or a patch-up job. To ensure these issues are continually fought for in the future we must build up an understanding in the youth of developed nations - those people who can make a difference in the future. This means building into primary and secondary education an awareness and understanding in children about the difficulties andi ssues facing today's world. |

Educate!
Goals 4) reduce child mortality, 5) improve maternal health and 6) combat HIV/AIDS and other diseases, will not be achieved by throwing a lot of money at the problems. These will require educating people about health and sanitation and the risks involved in certain actions. The focus MUST be on education. |

We must build up awareness in developed nations
People will have no inclination to do something about these problems if they dont understand the extent of the terrible conditions facing under priveleged people world wide. There must be more done than simply have governments agree there is a problem. Real change won't occur until the people within a society realise there is a problem and want to do something about it. |
